Free Pizza for Getting Good Grades
CUMBERLAND—Just because Thanksgiving is over does not mean your family will stop eating. Yes, there are leftovers from the big meal and those have to be consumed or thrown away. In case you need an alternative to turkey and stuffing, there is one place that will be happy to serve you something other than a bird.
Paul’s World Famous Pizza on 1182 High St., has once again unveiled its “Good Grades for Pizza” program. Any student who brings in their report card with a “B” average or higher in all subjects will be entitled to one free small pizza. Restaurant Co-Owner Emanuel “Manoli” Stavroulakis said the program has been a hit with students and parents alike.
“Since we opened our restaurant a year ago, we have been fortunate to return something back to the people who helped up get the business off the ground,” said Stavroulakis. “Students are rewarded for doing well in school and the parents can have a night off from making dinner.”
The program debuted last year and has slowly gained momentum throughout the region, said Stavroulakis. The Central Falls School District has been helpful in distributing fliers and other materials to all their students in hopes they will be encouraged to do their best.
Students simply come into the restaurant with their report cards to pick up the small pizza. One pizza may be redeemed per person, per semester. Those students who achieve perfect attendance recipients may redeem their report card for a free large pizza at the end of the year. This is the “perfect for Pizza” program the restaurant offers in June. This free pizza offers are valid for all Central Falls, Cumberland, Lincoln, Pawtucket, Providence, Woonsocket students and surrounding towns.
