Bryant's Jodi Ricci Named to Patriots Cheerleaders 2013 Squad

Dean's list recipient makes 2013 team.

 

After a six-week audition process, the New England Patriots Cheerleaders have chosen their squad for the 2013 season — including Bryant University's Jodi Ricci.

Ricci, 21, of Lincoln, was among 36 finalists to participate in the annual Patriots Cheerleaders Boot Camp – the final phase of the audition process. To get there, she had to make it through the preliminary auditions in March .

Ricci was one of 57 candidates who were invited back for final auditions on March 16 and made the cut down to 36. She and the 35 other contestants just completed the annual boot camp portion of the audition on March 30, which consisted of four sessions.

Ricci is currently a dean's list recipient at Bryant University where she is a Marketing and Spanish major. Upon graduation this May, Jodi will pursue a career in Sports Marketing and corporate event planning.

In her free time, she is the Vice President of the student government at Bryant and choreographs for the Velocity and Advanced Evolution dance teams. She has performed in Disney World's "Magic Kingdom" and on two Royal Caribbean cruise lines and hopes to continue to pursue her dance and performance career in the future. This is Jodi’s third year as a Patriots Cheerleader. 

Three other northern RI residents were chosen for the 2013 squad:

Brittany Dickie

Brittany Dickie is 21 years old.  After graduating from Mount St. Charles Academy, she attended Curry College with a major in Early Education.  Brittany attended Curry College for two years. When not in class, Brittany spent her time on the Curry College competition cheerleading team. Brittany transferred to Dean College last year to continue her education as a dance major.  She is on the dance team as well as the hip-hop company. Brittany’s long-term goal is to open a complex that provides cheerleading and dance instruction as well as day care services. This is Brittany’s rookie year as a Patriots Cheerleader.

Stephanie Sanchez

Stephanie Sanchez has her degree in business and works aiding children with autism through the Seven Hills Foundation. She currently resides in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Stephanie teaches dance classes and coaches cheerleading at the high school and college levels. Stephanie has had a lot of charity experience in addition to the charities she has had the pleasure to work with through the squad. Some of her favorites include the PB&J Club, C.A.R.E, Hockey in Heels, and Pet Peeves! This is Stephanie’s fourth year on the Patriots Cheerleaders squad. 

LisaMarie Ianuzzi

LisaMarie is 23-years-old and lives in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Although she is originally from New Jersey, she made her mark in New England working for MF Athletic specializing in athletic equipment sales for Universities and professional teams. LisaMarie received her bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College and most recently gained acceptance to continue her education at Johnson and Wales in their prestigious pastry program. She plans on attending in the fall to complete her lifelong dream to create and produce her own line of gluten free protein snacks. This season will be LisaMarie’s second year on the Patriots Cheerleaders squad.

After the completion of the final boot camp session, the squad chose 25 women from the field of 36 finalists to comprise the 2013 team:

The team includes 12 rookies (Dickie among them) and 13 returning veteran cheerleaders. Squad rehearsals will begin immediately to prepare for the upcoming Junior Patriots Cheerleader clinics scheduled in May.

All 25 cheerleaders will travel to St. Lucia in June to shoot the squad’s annual swimsuit calendar and behind the scenes video; “Sideline to Shoreline.”
