Smithfield Natives Host Music Night at The Crossing at Smithfield

Jesse Liam Band singer, guitarist hail from Smithfield.

Tuesday night's free music concert at The Crossing at Smithfield featured the Jesse Liam Band, led by Smithfield natives Jesse and Jack Gauthier — vocals and guitar, respectively.

In the crowd, Cindy Fullerton of Johnston and Laurie Whittaker of Scituate were having a good time on camp chairs on the grass in front of the gazebo across from Barnes and Noble in the shopping plaza. "We go to a lot of them. (Music night concerts) We like coming here," Fullerton said.

Also have a good time were Jean Gauthier and Carol Ryan of Cranston. Jean, Jesse's grandmother and Jack's mom, proudly pointed out the pair during their cover of "Wake Up, Little Susie" by the Everly Brothers. She said they'd just played at the Newport Yacht Center and had recently done the National Anthem at a Paw Sox game.

Each Tuesday this summer, free music concerts are held from 6-8 p.m. at the venue.
