Walter L. Livingston: Owner of Happy Hour Lounge, Smithfield Elks Member

Johnston resident died Thursday after long battle with Parkinsons.

 

Walter L. Livingston, Sr., 80, of Johnston, died Thursday, November 8th after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease,  according to Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Constance (Day) Livingston. He was a devoted husband for 61 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Walter L. and Mary (Cardiff) Livingston, he was a longtime resident of Johnston.

Walter was the owner of the former Happy Hour Lounge in Johnston for many years prior to his retirement. There he spread laughter and fostered many friendships. He was an avid Red Sox fan and was also a lifetime member of the Smithfield Elks.

He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Patti and Bill Cuttle of Coventry, John and Diana Livingston of Tolland, Ct, and Robin and Mark Clancy of North Scituate and eight grandchildren. He was the father of the late Walter L. Livingston, Jr. and brother of the late Robert Livingston.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 4-7PM with his funeral service at 6pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial Private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018
