Smithfield Man Faces 'False Prescription' Charge

East Providence police pick up a Smithfield man on several warrants and charge him with attempting to obtain drugs at CVS pharmacy with a counterfeit prescription.

 

A Smithfield man wanted on several arrest warrants, including two from East Providence police, was picked up in East Providence Monday on the warrants and charged with using a counterfeit prescription to try to get drugs. 

Alan J. Cuthill, 26, of 22 Breezy Knoll Road, was standing on the deck of a Waterman Avenue house when a patrol officer spotted him about noon. He was arrested soon after being spotted.

Cuthill allegedly used a false prescription to attempt on Dec. 9 last year to obtain a controlled substance from the CVS Pharmacy at 640 Warren Ave. in East Providence. Three other felony warrants, including one issued by Superior Court, were also out on him by police in East Providence and North Providence.
