State Trooper Log: Skipping Court, Driver Busted For Pot

Scituate barracks: Skipping court on domestic assault, support charges

At 4:33 p.m., Troopers arrested Joshua R. Andrews, age 32, of 202 Maplecrest Drive, Pawtucket, RI, for a 1) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charges of Domestic Simple Assault out of the Johnston Police Department and a 2) Family Court Bench Warrant with a Reciprocal Body Attachment for Failure to Appear—Non Support. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 295 in the Town of Smithfield. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Hope Valley Barracks: Traffic stop leads to marijuana arrest

At 2:37 p.m., Troopers arrested Daniel Forte, age 19, of 5 Forte Trail Smithfield, RI., for Simple Possession of Marijuana, 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the Town of Richmond. Mr. Forte was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks and processed before being arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
