State Trooper Log: Traffic Stops Lead To Arrests For Court Scofflaws

Editor's note: The following reports were posted on the RI State Police website this week:

Scituate barracks: Vehicle stop leads to man's arrest for failing to appear on driving with suspended license charge.  

On Dec. 15, at 1:04 p.m., Troopers arrested Lawrence Lincoln, age 32, of 101 Grove St., Pascoag, RI for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear or pay on the original charge of Driving After Suspension of License originating out of the Glocester Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Putnam Pike in the Town of Smithfield. Lincoln was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and transported to the 6th District Court.

Scituate barracks: Vehicle stop leads to man's arrest for failing to appear on domestic assault charge.

On Dec. 24 at 8:19 p.m., Troopers arrested Sean Needham, age 22, of 6 Pine Lane, Johnston, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/ Ability to Pay on the original charge of Domestic Assault/ Battery originating out of the Johnston Police Department. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Putnam Pike in the Town of Smithfield.

Needham was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by Justice of the Raspallo and released to the custody of family.
