5 Things: Creepy Contests, Council Cancellation

3. Council Cancellation: The Smithfield Town Council will not be meeting tonight at 7 pm. The next scheduled meeting will be after the Nov. 6 election.
4. Skating: The Municipal Ice Rink hosts public skating today from noon to 2 pm. Admission $3, rentals $5.
