Good morning, Smithfield - check out these things to know:

 

Eggs, Issues, Chafee - The NRI Chamber Eggs & Issues breakfast will welcome Governor Lincoln D. Chafee, who will speak  about his proposed  budget.  The event will take place this morning from 7:50 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln.

Cost for preregistered members is $20 and the nonmember rate is $40.  Eggs & Issues  includes a full catered breakfast and refreshments.

Ladies' choice - Salon Tash will be open Sunday, March 3 for the Anna McCabe "Girls Choice" dance hairdos.

YMCA Dolphin Slide - Don't miss the Giant Dolphin slide (inflatable water slide) event March 1: The Dolphin Slide Session 1 runs 6:45 – 7:30 p.m. and Session 2 is 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Members must pre register for this special event. Call (401) 949-2480.

Board post openings - The town is seeking members to serve on the Sewer Authority, Historic Preservation Commission, Affordable Housing Advisory Board, and Financial Review Commission. Interested parties should submit a letter of interest to the Town Manager’s Office, 64 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917 along with an application form.  A letter of interest may contain your interest or experience in the field of each particular board or commission that you are applying for and, optionally, résumé information.

Old County Box Tops - Old County Road School PTA needs volunteers to help prepare box tops for submission. Interested parties should leave a comment on their facebook page. "It is easy and many hands make the job quicker...and earn OCRS free $," the PTA callout reads.
