Town Councilor Steps Down from Board of Trustees

To avoid any conflict of interest, the town council president has left Bryant University's Board of Trustees.

Smithfield Town Council President Alberto J. LaGreca Jr. has recently stepped down from Bryant University's Board of Trustees, reports The Observer. 

LaGreca, a Republican and previous council president, stepped down to avoid any conflicts of interest, according to the article. He was serving a three-year term on the board. 

LaGreca is also the owner of Rome Packing Co., an East Providence distribution company.
