Wednesday Five: Maxine's Tree, Water District, Recycling Survey, Timberlake

Preschool Storytime (Maxine's Tree) -  Enjoy storytime with your preschooler Friday, March 15, 1 - 2 p.m. at Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge, 12 Sanderson Road. The programs include the reading of a nature story with hands-on activities followed by a nature craft or live animal visit. Adults must accompany children. Age Range: Ages 3-5. Member Fee: $5/member child. Non-Member Fee: $6/non-member child. Registration is required for all programs unless noted. Water District Meeting - The East Smithfield Water District meets tonight, 6:30 p.m., 307 Waterman Ave. They've got a light agenda, focused solely on selecting and certifying a slate of nominees for the election of officers to be held at the District’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 13. 

Recycling Survey - Take the Recycling Department survey, a fun and easy way to help improve town wide recycling. It only takes a few minutes to complete.

Timberlake Tickets at auction - Want two tickets to see Justin Timberlake at Fenway park on Aug 11? They will be up for grabs at the May 3 silent auction to raise funds for the new Old County Road Playground, thanks to the Morgan family. 

Board post openings - The town is seeking members to serve on the Sewer Authority, Historic Preservation Commission, Affordable Housing Advisory Board, and Financial Review Commission. Interested parties should submit a letter of interest to the Town Manager’s Office, 64 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917 along with an application form.  A letter of interest may contain your interest or experience in the field of each particular board or commission that you are applying for and, optionally, résumé information.
