Wednesday Five: Your Ticket To The Universe Author Kim Arcand, Ribbon of Hope

Welcome to Wednesday - here are some things to know:

Universal Ticket "Your Ticket to the Universe", a photo-illustrated, entertaining tour of the most interesting stops known in the cosmos — from our Solar System to the Milky Way galaxy and beyond to exotic lands, — co-authored by Smithfield's Kimberly Arcand is available on Amazon for $24.95. Or you could stop by Barnes and Noble tonight at 6 p.m., meet the author and get your book signed. Decisions, decisions...

Ribbon of Hope - Be one of the first to purchase a Ribbon of Hope license plate this Saturday at Brewed Awakenings in Johnston and Wakefield - and get the ball rolling on making the plates a reality for Rhode Islanders. Proceeds from the $41.50 plates go to aid under-insured and uninsured women in getting breast cancer screenings. That's important, especially in RI, where the rate for breast cancer is one in six, as opposed to the national rate, one in eight.
